Mutaru M. Muqthar
Executive Director
Mutaru Mumuni Muqthar is the Founder and Executive Director of WACCE. He was influenced and inspired by his own family’s story as victims of conflict and radicalization to work in security.
Philemon Agyapong
Finance & Administrations Officer
Philemon Agyapong is a Finance Officer at WACCE. With extensive experience in business operations, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Ghana.
Dr. Sadiq Adu-Twum
Research Fellow & Programs Officer
Dr. Sadiq Adu-Twum is a Senior Fellow at WACCE and Adjunct Lecturer at Pentecost University. He previously worked as a communications officer for the Ghana Navy and the UN.
Priscilla Joppa
Programs Officer
Priscilla Mawusi Joppa is a Programs Officer at WACCE. A gender equality advocate, she previously worked at KAIPTC. She holds a degree from the University of Ghana in Political Science and Information Studies.
Efraim Vermeulen
Research Associate Intern
Efraim Emanuel Vermeulen is a Research Associate Intern from the Netherlands. At WACCE, he conducts research on peace and security issues in West Africa. He holds a MSc in Conflict Resolution and Governance.

Research Associate Intern
Alex Walter is a Research Associate Intern from the United Kingdom. He holds a BSc in Psychology, complemented by experience in conflict-focused NGOs. At WACCE, he conducts research on peace and security issues in West Africa.

Enoch is a development professional with expertise in programme coordination, community engagement, and PVE. He conducts project planning, research, stakeholder coordination and peacebuilding interventions.

Research Associate Intern
Elise Webster is a Research Associate Intern from the United States. She holds a MSc in International Relations & Diplomacy, and brings professional experience from NGOs, international organizations, and academic institutions in Europe, the US, and Latin America. At WACCE, she researches peace and security issues across West Africa.

Research Associate Intern
Emerald Eyram Akorli is a Research Associate Intern from Ghana. She holds an MA in International Affairs and Diplomacy complemented with experience from Gender, Peace and Security Research engagements with NGOs. At WACCE, she contributes to research in peace and security issues across West Africa.
